For Patients
We offer a broad range of medical care services for adult clients with infectious diseases, including:
- Management of HIV/AIDS
- Diagnosis and treatment of illnesses and infections
- Management of Hepatitis C
- Clinical Studies
Appointments:
Please have your Primary Care Physician contact our office for a referral to one of our infectious disease specialists. Some insurance companies may require a prior authorization to be seen by a specialist. Please contact your insurance company or primary care provider.
Medications:
Please be sure to bring a list of your medications, including prescription, over-the-counter, vitamins, herbs, and other health or nutritional supplements. If there is any question of whether to include something, ask your provider.
Billing and Insurance:
Our practice accepts most insurance plans, and, for your convenience, we will bill your insurance company regardless of whether or not we are a participating provider. We participate with most Anthem policies, Cigna, Medicare, Medicaid, United Healthcare, Piedmont Community Health Plan, Sentara, Aetna, Humana and Tricare.
Please bring your insurance card with you to your scheduled appointment. Our participation with insurance providers requires us to ask to see your insurance card and to collect any co-payments at the time of each visit.
To determine whether we participate in your insurance plan, you may call the customer service number on your insurance card. We understand this can sometimes be confusing, so please let us know if you have any questions or concerns about your insurance coverage.
